"L U C A S"

Here's my, still rather short, story ...

Lucas at four and a half months (click to enlarge) I was born in Wetteren, Belgium. Wetteren is the town where my grandparents on my father's side live, where my father grew up and where my eldest sister, Leanne, was born. You probably guess it by now, I am the fourth child whose first name starts with the initial L ... And now we are even in the family, 2 boys and 2 girls.

Lucas enjoying the in-flight entertainment (click to enlarge)My Mom and I accompanied my Dad on his business trip to Geneva in March '05. The trip included a detour via Belgium spending a few days with my grandparents. On the way back from Geneva to Karachi I enjoyed the Business Class features of Swiss International Airlines and was an avid user of the in-flight entertainment.

Lucas taking a break from running around collecting eggs (click to enlarge)Every year for Easter my brother and sisters have gotten into the habit of weaking up early and checking in the house whether the Easter bunny stopped by and left some chocolate eggs behind. This year the eggs were small but plentiful. And Leanne, Louise and Lawrence had competition for the first time. I eagerly joined the race and didn't do too bad. I hid himself in a corner to protect my "loot".

At least I came equipped with the right basket. Sofar, I've been lucky, the Easter Bunny has made it as far as Almaty and Karachi to dropp off Easter Eggs.

Lucas singing his heart out (click to enlarge)Recently I invited my parents to my school to attend the performance of all the children. The Kazakhstan International School put on quite a show with all my friends and I up on stage performing singing and dancing acts as well as the performance of some budding new piano and violin stars. I acquitted himself gracefully.
